Andrew R. Mayle

Andy is a litigator focusing on business disputes, personal injury, criminal defense, and appeals. He also has experience in election law, civil rights, municipal law, real estate, and administrative matters.

Andy regularly represents clients in breach of contract claims, claims concerning Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act, the Home Solicitation Sales Act, manufacturing defects, warranty issues, and other business disputes. He also acts as local or lead counsel for out-of-state clients in Ohio litigation.

Andy has represented plaintiffs in a wide variety of personal injury cases involving work-place accidents, premises liability cases, and automobile and motorcycle collisions. He has experience with uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, subrogation issues, and workers’ compensation.

Andy has successfully defended several high profile criminal cases. He has defended against charges in common pleas, municipal and mayor’s courts in Cuyahoga, Summit, Lorain, Erie, Huron, Sandusky, Ottawa, Seneca, Wood, and Lucas counties. Andy has tried several cases to verdict and has negotiated hundreds of favorable pleas for his clients. And he has extensive experience litigating constitutional issues under the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and their state constitution counterparts.

Andy advises contractors, small and medium sized manufactures, and employers on day-to-day legal issues as well as in litigation. He has represented individuals before state administrative and licensing boards in Columbus. Andy also has an election law practice where he advises and advocates for individual candidates and political parties concerning statutory election law provisions, constitutional issues, elections contests, protests, and ballot initiatives.

Andy is on the board of trustees for the Catholic Education Development Fund and is president of the Sandusky County Bar Association. He was formerly president of the Student Bar Association at the University of Notre Dame Law School. He resides in Perrysburg with his wife Christine and son Matthew.

 

 

Jeremiah S. Ray

Jeremiah is a litigator with a diverse and broad caseload. Jeremiah’s recent docket has included serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, felony defense, OVI defense, and divorce, custody and support cases. Jeremiah also has an active juvenile defense practice and acts as outside counsel to a regional credit union as well as a special prosecutor to several municipalities. Prior to entering private practice, Jeremiah was an assistant prosecutor in Erie County, Ohio. He has tried several cases to verdict in many different courts and has broad experience in jury and bench trials as well as trials before magistrates.

Jeremiah has litigated several personal injury cases and has negotiated many favorable out-of-court settlements. He has significant experience litigating difficult personal injury cases involving disputed liability and complicated injuries.

In the domestic relations arena, Jeremiah has represented clients in divorce, dissolution, custody, and support matters. He has also been appointed by several courts as guardian ad litem in domestic relation cases.

Jeremiah has significant experience representing creditors, lien holders, and financial institutions in collection actions, foreclosures, and other litigation throughout Ohio.

Jeremiah has extensive experience representing defendants in criminal investigations and proceedings.  He has significant experience litigating constitutional, statutory, and administrative issues in criminal and traffic cases.

Jeremiah lives in Bellevue with his wife Melanie and their two sons, Tyler and Joel. 

 

Ronald J. Mayle

Ron is the former law director for the City of Fremont and former Sandusky County Prosecutor where he represented the city and county in criminal civil, and administrative matters. This experience greatly benefits the firm and its clients. Ron has broad understanding of municipal and administrative law and government agencies. Ron’s current practice areas include litigation, real estate, zoning, estate planning, probate, contracts, business law, and election law.

Ron regularly represents contractors and builders in Northwest Ohio. He represents condominium developers and advises homeowner associations in a variety of matters. He has broad experience representing his clients in administrative matters before local government agencies and in court. He has also handled hundreds of residential real estate transactions and also has significant experience in commercial real estate matters. He also often represents property owners in residential and commercial evictions.

Ron regularly advises clients on business entity formation and works with other professionals such as accountants on business planning issues. These clients include builders, retailers, merchants, manufacturers, and doctors.

Ron has significant experience in estate planning and probate. He advises clients on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, tax, and other planning issues. He also has experience litigating probate issues when needed.

Ron has tried a wide variety of criminal and civil cases in his career and has been counsel in well over 100 matters in appellate courts. These matters include civil and criminal appeals as well as original actions such as writs of mandamus and prohibition. Ron actively plans litigation strategy for the firm’s clients, participates in discovery, and appears in court for pretrial and trial proceedings.

Ron lives in Fremont with his wife Mary Ellen, but also spends time in Ottawa County in the summer. He has four grown children – Dick, Ted, Andy, and Tim. He was a founder of the Catholic Education Development Fund and has served on various boards for charitable organizations.
